In the most part the spanish verb hacer present tense is quite regular in its formation. Hacer in present is, apart from the imperfect tense, the least irregular of the different tenses as hacer in yo form is the only conjugation that differs from how regular present tense -er verbs are conjugated as shown in the table below.

However, before checking the present tense of hacer conjugation table below, you should consider the other, more difficult, tenses of this commonly used verb, and how you will master them. Although this may sound like a blatant promotion you should read this verb training software review. This software was, and still is, an essential tool when learning Spanish verbs, it certainly helped me to master Spanish verbs much more quickly than I was prior to obtaining a copy. In fact, it was so successful in helping me that I now run my own website/blog, http://www.irregularspanishverbs.com, a site which is completely dedicated to learning Spanish verbs!

The Present Tense Form of Hacer

The present tense of hacer is formed by taking the stem of the verb, which is hac- and adding the regular endings for present tense -er verbs, apart from hacer yo form, which is commonly referred to a a ‘go’ conjugation, because it ends in…yes you’ve guessed it…‘go’, but it also drops the ‘c’ from the end of the stem.
All endings are highlighted in red and the irregular yo ending is also in bold.
